Channel Master is accepting pre-orders for their new Enhanced DVR+ Remote (affiliate link). This new backlit remote includes a Live TV button and longer IR range. When I reviewed the DVR+ my biggest complaint about the hardware was the included remote. 

Based on the pictures, this new remote is curvier, thicker, and looks like it will have much better hand feel than the included remote. Sadly, it doesn’t appear Channel Master will be shipping the new Enhanced Remote with new DVR+ units (affiliate link). The Enhanced DVR+ Remote will be a $29 add on for either old or new DVR+ systems. Pre-orders are being accepted now with remotes shipping in September 2015.
